2012 Kid-Lit Fest for Educators

We love teachers!  So we focus several activities during the Festival just for teachers and school librarians.  In addition to the activities on Friday and Saturday, this year we’re hosting a Tea for Teachers on Sunday.

Sunday, 3pm
Teacher Appreciation Tea with authors A.S. King, Faith Reese Martin, and Mara Rockliff.

 The authors will present information about their school visits and classroom programs, and attendees will learn about all the opportunities available for schools at Aaron’s Books.

Tickets- $10 or 4 for $35
Tickets include the tea, free classroom materials, advance copies of yet to be released books, teacher resource materials, and a gift certificate for Aaron’s Books

(All events FREE and open to the public)

3pm Skype with author N.D. Wilson from his writing studio in Idaho.

6-8pm Local Authors Night. Meet Lititz and Lancaster-based authors for children.

11am TEACHER & LIBRARIAN Workshop with author Alison Formento

1pm  TEACHER WORKSHOP- Using Poetry in the Elementary Classroom

1:30pm  The State of Teen Lit, a conversation with A.S. King, Alyssa Sheinmel, & Jessica Spotswood

3pm It’s a Mystery! Meet Author Michael Beil and go on an adventure!
